Alternative Energy

In order to define the alternative energy, first we have to define what is that alternative energy sources. Alternative energy sources are energy sources that are not traditional energy sources (they are fossil fuels such as coal, oil and natural gas). Some dictionaries such as the Oxford dictionary puts alternative energy sources correlated with the environment and suggests that the term refers to an alternative energy source energy sources that do not harm the environment. There is much controversy about this term and even today the definition of alternative energy sources is often associated with two different opinions. For example, nuclear energy is considered by some as an alternative energy source while, the other says that only renewable energy sources, which obviously is an alternative energy source. A similar situation occurs in hydropower as some parties think that hydropower is the same traditional energy sources with fossil fuels. To get out of the controversy, to the extent possible we mention the word alternative energy to alternative energy sources are the most common solar energy, wind energy and geothermal energy. Alternative energy sources including the biomass and hydrogen.Solar energy from the sun is the most abundant source of energy available on our planet. Solar power industry is still dependent on subsidies and utilization of solar energy still has intermittent problems (because the sun does not shine all day). However, given the potential, funding, and the amount of research on solar energy, is quite realistic to say that one day the solar energy will be the main energy source in the world.Wind power is better in terms of price competition when compared to solar energy, but still have the same intermittent problem such as solar energy. Many countries have already started the expansion of wind energy in large quantities (especially China) and in the coming years is expected to wind farms (wind farm) will move to off-shore because the sea breeze is stronger and more frequent.Geothermal energy refers to the heat stored in the earth's core. Does geothermal energy such as solar and wind energy is available 24-7, but has a high drilling costs, which means that the development of geothermal energy using current technology is only feasible in areas near tectonic plate. This is also the reason why there are only 24 countries in the world to utilize geothermal energy at this time.Third alternative energy sources has major advantages compared to traditional fossil fuels, the character they are environmentally friendly. Burning fossil fuels is a major contributor to climate change and air polution. This means that the world needs to replace fossil fuels with alternative energy sources as soon as possible to avoid the impacts of climate change scenarios were terrible. Save the world from now!
